From Creation to Christ:

Sharing the Gospel Through Conversations About the Environment

The Round Church, Cambridge (CB2 1UB)

No booking required; simply turn up on the night.

In a world increasingly concerned with climate change, conservation, and our planet’s future, how can Christians engage in conversations about the environment, and use these to point people to Christ?

Cambridge Apologetics is pleased to welcome Jim Paul (Director of the English L’Abri Fellowship) to explore how secular worldviews engage with questions surrounding the environment, and how the Christian story uniquely and subversively fulfils humanity’s desire for environmental renewal. We will discuss how Christians can make the most of conversations on environmental topics with friends, family, and colleagues, in order to connect with those who care deeply about these issues and to share the gospel with them.

Bullies and Saints:

Has Christianity Done More Harm Than Good?

The Round Church, Cambridge (CB2 1UB)

From Life in the Round

No booking required; simply turn up on the night.

Cambridge’s iconic Round Church, modelled on Jerusalem’s Church of the Holy Sepulchre, was built as part of a wave of crusader-inspired architecture that spread across Europe in the early twelfth century. It stands as a striking reminder of Christianity’s complex legacy, one which has prompted many critics to argue that the faith has done more harm than good.

In this setting, historian Dr John Dickson (author Bullies and Saints and host of the Undeceptions podcast) will trace the paradoxes of Christian history: how the same faith that produced the Crusades and modern abuse scandals also gave rise to hospitals, universities, justice movements, and countless acts of charity. Through a talk and Q&A, followed by time for informal discussion over cheese and wine, we will take an honest look at the good and evil of Christian history, and reflect on what this story means for the questions facing our society today.

2026 Summer Conference

Date and Location

12-13 June 2026  |  Venue: Eden Baptist Church and Christ Church Cambridge

Theme: Unashamed

There is a growing spiritual openness in our society – increasingly people are seeking truth and meaning beyond mere matter. But how do we guide this new generation of seekers to faith in Christ as the ultimate fulfilment of their search? How can we hold out Christ-centred, evangelical faith as the true and most beautiful telling of the gospel?

This conference will equip and empower believers to share their faith in a way that connects with the spiritually receptive, pointing them to a wholehearted, gospel-centred, and living faith that renews the heart and satisfies the mind. Gain the tools to meet this exciting cultural moment and provide an answer for the hope you have in Christ.

Recap: 2025 Summer conference

Theme: Reason and Imagination

Cambridge is full of thinking people. What do they think about Christianity? From the University to the Science Park, from Addenbrooke’s to the City Council: our colleagues and friends all live with assumptions about our faith.

But what assumptions do we have about their questions? In our rapidly changing culture, are we tracking with their thinking? How might we commend and defend the gospel in creative ways in Cambridge today? Our summer conference this year explored the role of reason and imagination in outreach.

We must give honest answers to honest questions. Christianity is Truth, Truth that God has told us, and if it is Truth, it can answer questions."
